In Charlotte, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Michigan, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. We had 3 Heritage River Birches installed by Trees N Scapes at our home in East Lansing (2 in the front yard and 1 to fill a space needing shade in our backyard). The crew was courteous and conscientious in caring for the surrounding landscaping and cleaning up when finished. The quality of the trees and reasonable price was also a very favorable factor. We will be returning to Trees N Scapes for additional plantings that we are making on our property.

Trees N Scapes has beautiful, healthy trees. We have bought several and are happy with them. They also offer landscape design services, they designed and installed our sidewalk and decorative plants, we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

Paul was extremely helpful when it came to selecting our trees. We bought one for my parents, which was planted at their place in DeWitt. Then we bought another tree as a Memorial for deceased members of a local golf group in Lansing, which was planted at Royal Scot GC. Paul's crew were wonderful to work with and were able to plant both trees on the same day in a very expeditious manner! Thank you Trees 'N' Scapes!
